Prabhu Energy Labs won the Natural Gas Cleantech Competition! We were selected by NGIF Industry Grants to receive funding for the development and validation of the Oxiperator toward the elimination of methane slip from lean-burn gas engines. Prabhu Energy Labs was the only award winner focused on methane mitigation.
The competition received 61 applications, and 11 were selected as finalists to advance technology innovations in the natural gas production, transmission and distribution sectors, and mitigate the environmental impact of natural gas. Applications were evaluated by fourteen natural gas companies, including Birchcliff Energy, an Alberta Low Emissions Impact Producer of natural gas, and Tourmaline Oil, Canada's largest producer of natural gas. "The NGIF Industry Grant Cleantech Competition is more than a grant. It has been a collaborative and rigorous forum in which we have been able to put our heads together with some of Canada's most innovative and environmentally responsible natural gas companies," said Monica Prabhu, Director of Commercialization and Communications at Prabhu Energy Labs. “We are honored to have been selected by the industry leaders who are working to mitigate methane emissions from natural gas production.” Read more about Prabhu Energy Labs’ selection at NGIF Industry Grants.
